Carne Buena began operating 2009 and is owned by N. Prabhakaran, originally from Chennai, India. N. Prabhakaran came to the Dominican Republic to invest in businesses here. After spending over a year investigating the Dominican marketplace, he decided upon Carne Buena as his first of many business ventures.

Carne Buena has humble beginnings, located in the Los Mina marketplace, in the shop location that the butcher shop “El Simpático Nilo” operated sucessfully for many years. But N. Prabhakaran plans to expand and transform Carne Buena from a local butcher shop to a multi-location, full-service enterprise.

Carne Buena combines the exceptional customer service that India is famous for with the selection and quality available within the Dominican Republic.
